About MACC

Experts in cycling-specific fields, including bike fitters and medical professionals working with athletes and teams, will be speaking on a variety of topics as well as providing hands-on training in managing acute cycling injuries and bike fitting.

It is a great pleasure and privilege to announce the 1st Medicine Africa Cycling Congress (MACC) which will be held on Friday, 24 November 2017, at Coetzenburg in Stellenbosch with a satellite workshop held on Thursday, 23 November 2017 at the Sports Science Institute of SA (SSISA).

Experts in cycling-specific fields, including bike fitters and medical professionals working with athletes and teams, will be speaking on a variety of topics as well as providing hands-on training in managing acute cycling injuries and bike fitting.

The programme is open to all professionals, including medical doctors, sports medicine doctors, physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, biokineticists, bike fitters, nutritionists, physiologists, trainers, etc.

Discussions and presentations by medical experts and coaches at every level will focus on anatomical and structural understanding. There will be ample opportunity to meet the speakers and interact with colleagues and friends.

The MACC coincides with the Origin of Trails MTB race, which is a 2-day stage race in Stellenbosch, which will be held on the Saturday and Sunday (25 to 26 November 2017).

MACC supports the STF trail building initiatives.You will also be awarded with 8 CPD points.

Snacks, lunch, tea and good coffee will be available.
