Professor Jon Jacobson received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and undertook his radiology training at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan. He did a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at UCSD, San Diego. Professor Jacobson is currently Professor of Radiology and Director of the Division of Musculoskeletal Radiology at the University of Michigan. His research interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound and MRI. His academic achievements include over 300 peer-reviewed publications and over 1100 invited national and international lectures or workshops. Professor Jacobson has been a visiting professor on 39 occasions, reviews for several journals and has received numerous teaching awards. He is the author of the textbook ‘Fundamentals of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound’, which is now in its second edition. Professor Jacobson is active in various societies including the European and International Skeletal Societies.
